I'm liking the overall silhouette. Proportions look well balanced. Fingers X-ed for an STI version or better yet, a Spec C version.

After another look, it appears they've simply used the AWD layout, but removed the front driveshafts...

i agree with spen 555 , should be a 4 wheel drive , kind of a prodrives P1 top gear tested couple of years ago , 4 wheel drive 450 bhp and that style and they would sell like hot cakes .

That'll be the Prodrive P2

Hope this looks as pretty once she is properly built! Is this the one they are building with Toyota ?

End product summit like this

Inside Line is reporting that the new, RWD coupe being developed by Subaru and Toyota will only be sold as a Subaru in markets outside of Japan, while the Toyota version will remain exclusive to the Land of the Rising Sun. The report goes on to say that the coupe will be based off the Subaru Impreza (despite Toyota/Subaru's own press release saying that it's an "all-new" platform) and that power will be provided by a naturally aspirated, 2.0-liter boxer engine producing 220 hp at 6,500 rpm.

Toyota and Subaru are using the Integra Type-R as the performance benchmark for the new coupe, with a 103-inch wheelbase, a 2+2 seating layout and a curb weight of 2,866 pounds. As reported before, the coupe will debut in 2011 and pricing is expected to begin just south of $20,000.

Not likely, expect the thieves, sorry Japs, to sell it HERE for £25,000

Just had a second, better look at the pics, in light of the above post. Two things spring to mind:

1. Yes, the engine is low down and far back, but what is that huge air intake/intake manifold doing sticking up nearly a foot on top?

2. CHAIN-DRIVEN CAMS!!!!!!!! Yay!!! No more belts to snap, or need replaced every three years.

I must be looking at different pictures. It's just a bland, generic car shaped thing.
Not exactly a ferrari 458 is it?
Subaru havn't made a great looking car yet. They still havn't.
