Default Inlet manifold spacer

Just fitted a inlet manifold spacer do they actually do anything a what's gains do you get

Main benefit is to reduce the intake temps as heat wont transfer through them as much as it does with the thin OEM gasket in place.

No benefit apart from reduce intake temps and more space for a bigger inlet hose underneath - which spacer did you fit, did you change the bolts to make sure they were long enough plus did you fit new gaskets either side or the spacer?

Yes bought it all off a lad on here just wondered if I wasted my money doing it

Definitely not a wasted purchase, any and everything to help keep the car cool works

Not immediate power, but longevity yes

Why did you buy something you don't know what it does

Anyone running big power has these gaskets, It massively reduces heat transfer into your inlet manifold, this giving you better power when you car is roasting hot. Simples

I was changing my manifold and needed new gaskets and some one on here had one forsale with all new gaskets so I thought I'd buy that instead oflokking for gaskets

You also need longer manifold bolts, because of the extra gap.
