Congratulations mate, my son was born a month early in jan. It is prob the best feeling i have felt seeing the baby for the 1st time!! It certainly turns your life upside down, but in a good way.

Oh and dirty nappies are easy to change, the only hard bit is the lack of sleep, but you soon get used to it!

Yep you get use to it pretty quickly!lol The 1st couple of nights i kept checking him to make sure he was ok every 15mins, but soon realise that you can sleep. get everything ready before you go to bed makes life easier at 2 or 3am when they are screamingand your still half

youll have to get your rear windows tinted so people cant see your baby seats like i had too.
then get the dirty looks from the do gooders when you park in the parents and kids section in tesco until they see you get your kids out the back!!

Congraulations for when the magic happens. My Mrs is nearly 39 weeks (1st child). Ignore all the crap about getting your sleep now, just go into another room with a sleeping bag or kip at a mates house for a few months

Thanks for all the msgs, but you wont beleive it we turned up as arranged and they said they were too busy !! FFS !!!! How can they be allowed to do that ?! My partner and I were all ready and geared up ready for the baby today and all the do is monitor her and tell us there too busy and to ring back at 7.30am tmoz to see if they have space, "where not booking a fckin hotel room and a wkend away" we booked the birth of our 2nd child !!!! grrrrr. Glad thats off my chest...... lol

That's prity shocking! But good luck for tomorrow. My wife is expecting our second and the baby is due in July. My daughter was 5 weeks early so really unexpected the days she was born. Now she is 7 and I'm trying to wonder where the time has gone.

Thanks for all the good wishes, Just to tell you all she was born last night at 6.35pm and weighed a whopping 9lbs and we have called her Ava. Long live the sleepness nights lol
