My Car Has had a Massive Front End Shunt
#1
Apparently!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My car goes to Lancaster tomorrow since they are buying it off me. However, had a potential buyer round tonight and I am informed that my car has the incorrect headlights, the wrong badge and shows signs of front end impact!!!!!!!!!
Hmmm,
Those who know me and my car hopefully know that no such thing has ever happened. Feel very offended to be honest.
Still, its sold already so I shouldn't let it bother me.
Apparently also Lancaster were telling porkies when they said my car trades at 11k, the 'expert' with my viewer said it books at 9.7k! Would Lancaster really tell me it books for more if they are buying it??? Should an 'ex' Subaru employee know when the headlamps changed from mine to the crystal clear ones? Should an ex Subaru employee be familiar with people changing the badges?
As the most standard car out there it seems ironic that it's still not good enough!
Those who viewed my car tonight, just so you can see that I am prepared to make public the details of my car.
Sxxx APA has never been in an accident (save for a dent removed by dentmaster in the n/s door). The headlamps are correct for 98 car. The clear lenses are for a 99 car. The pink badge was sourced from Australia while we were there on Honeymoon. The grill IS the correct grill for a 98 car. The horn was replaced, not because of a front end shunt but because the standard one sounds like Noddy!
Oh well, got that off my chest

Cberry,
Tell me more about your horn - oh ar musses. My MY98 (glass lenses) tooters are also crap but I can't find one that will mount in front of the rad. where the existing one is.
But then again i've never had a shunt in mine

Sounds a bit suspicious to me. Possible Car thieves checking it out, then coming back later? Or just messers who come round, blast the car up and down, have no money (or access to the required) and then say "don't want it mate cos of X Y and Z"
Sad to say but good job you're not going to have it for much longer really if you attract people like this!

phew! thought it'd been smacked. glad that's not the case.
Going to stand up and be counted to say that Colin has cherished this car, and it has NOT had a front end smack, if the person that said that is on here, please post why you think this is the case, I'd like to hear why.
This car has not been smacked, end of story.

Must have been some expert to think it had a front ender cos the badge and horn are different.
Don't tell me - he thought it was a shoddy repair job cos the paint in the engine bay didn't match the bodywork, lol
