Doesn't anybody else think that its getting boring to keep comparing these 2 cars. After all it invariably comes down to the testers preference. Lets have them Imprezas/Evo X up aginst M3s, AMG Mercs, Porshces, Daewoo Matizs. Well maybe not the last one, but you get my drift. Lets have creative grown up testing too, not Drivels "well I like it so it gets 50 points"! or lets see which one can hold a slide the longest.

Come on. Who really cares a #### what a has been racing driver thinks, or any other journo for that matter. Tiff will prefer one of these cars for his reasons, not for your reasons. So go drive both cars yourself and decide, unless of course you prefer other people to make decisions for you.
Until you have driven both, how can you really comment.

[RANT ON]
Yawn Yawn Yawn -
I've got a Scooby. I like it. I've also seen plenty of Evo's. I like them. I also like Skylines. I also liked my Primera GT (previous car). In fact I loved my souped up Mini Clubman (first ever car)
I don't particularly give a flying **** about any scooby/evo/other car comparisons. Why there are continuous threads about completely baffles me.
If you don't like your Scoob/Evo/other car and can afford to exchange it then do it. Stop peppering this bbs with pointless drivel.
[RANT OFF]
That feels better. 36 hours without bbs and the first thing I opened was an Evo vs Scooby thread !!!!

Yep exactly why I posted this thread as we all know it will go OTT even if its a draw (shouts of fix from the back ). Who cares I liek my car I know guys with EVOs who like theirs. My dad likes his car and it neither so what does that prove
BTW Just seen another thread appear I think we are upto 2 threads now just wait till thursday/friday if they start running trailers

Ive already seen clips of next weeks show and tiff says that the evo is quicker but the scooby is the better all round package. Wait till the PPP comes out then we will see which one is quicker.

Who cares..... Surely it's all down to personal preference, budget, practicality, etc, etc, etc to what car you buy.....
I have an Evo, but it could have been a Scoob or a Skyline or whatever but MY OWN preference was the Evo, and MY OWN preference is all that counts as far as I'm concerned.....
Do I jump up and down if Tiff prefers the Evo??? I don't think so.
Will you jump up and down if Tiff prefers the Scoob??? I should hope not.
This is just basically down to HIS OWN preference so surely it doesn't matter to us what he prefers, it's just a bit of entertainment on the box.....
Cheers

LOL @ "Wait till the PPP comes out then we will see which one is quicker"
Don`t you think Ralliart do their own version of the PPP kit? Well they do, just that you never hear of it as most Evo drivers are more than happy with the performance of their cars straight out the box!(....as it were)

and then once you have the ppp (rumoured to be in the region of £2500) there will hardly be any differnce in price betwean the cars so the scooby cant be said to be better value

Also on on Monday 8pm
Should be fun watching it proclaimed as the greatest motoring show on earth if the scooby wins or proclaimed as the worst programme apart from Driven if the scooby loses.
All in good fun though eh

I should run a sweepstake on the number of people who log into scoobynet on tuesday morning and say either :
1) It was a fix and I dont agree and now my teddy has been damaged and sitting broken in the corner
2) I watched it 15 times I can see where it has been edited
3) I didnt see it anyone got it on tape (even though its repeated on tuesday) and again the same thing on wednesday as the video broke or it taped a cookery programme or the dog ate the tape
4) We cant get channel5 cuase I cant tune my tv/video in properly

It's going to be interesting viewing. The STi was awared the TG top drivers car, above that of the EVO 7.
Now the same team are on Channel 5, so I wonder if the results will be the same...

Am I the only one that finds it amusing that some people have noticed the title of this thread, opened it, read it to the bottom then proceeded to say that they don't care a flip what the comparison results are?

The evo has more bhp than the scoob + torque so it is going to be quicker at the end of the day. Someone on this bbs recently said that the evo that tiff tests next week is the fq 300. (flippin quick 300bhp)one, as opposed to the 265 bhp scooby, so when the ppp comes out for the sti it should put it on a par with the evo. Personnally i think it will be faster but hey thats my opinion.Even then it will still be better value than the evo. Dont get me wrong the evo is great and i would love one but its just to impractical for me.

Fair comment m8, each to their own.The fuel stops are tiring, the 4,500 mile service interval is a pain.Still love me Evo, though, just as i once loved me Scoob.
I do feel some people just jump on the band wagon though, and the comment`s reguarding PPP make me really laugh!
Enjoy your cars guys, theres a reason why people put up with small service intervals and frequent fuel stops, and until you`ve tried Evo-ness for yourself, you`ll never understand why.
