Unhappy sell or break?

throught long and hard with this one. but with no real work, and the price of fuel/insurance ect. i have no real choice.

but is it better to break tghe car, as i spent so much on it ion the first place.

the engine cost me well over 2k to build. and having a p1 box/diff & the rear spoiler, brembosare fitted, sti v7 alloys and sti v6 suspension.
will it be worth breaking.

the engine:

sti v7 block
sti v4 heads
arp studs
comatic gaskets
lightend flywheel
stage 1 clutch

bhp with my standard td05 16g & 500cc blue sti injectors. the car is 341/338. the car startedlife as a prodrive 25, and has the full recaro seats (same as the mc rae) then with a face lift front end as its a uk 95 turbo2000.

sti rear lights ect. ecu is a proper subaru and the esl live map.

what would you guys do. breat her?

thats what i was thinking. the engines only really done just over 2k since i built it
theres lots of other bits around the car that will sell. folding mirrors ect, full magnex, and newish sports cat.

so ye, get more breaking her.
may see if theres any interest in the parts first.

whats a good asking price for the engine?
i know i paid quite abit for it all. theres also an uprated oil pump too.

first of all if i was you would be to get a list down of every engine part i.e what pistons/rods crankshaft etc etc as these are the first things people will ask, along with who and where was it built
if you go into it prepared you will do better
also be prepared for taking loads of pictures and replying to hundreds of pms as well as stripping and shipping in decent time, you wont get all the cash straight away and it will come in dribs and drabs

thanks mate.

all work on this car was done by my self, the block is a standard sti v7 blockwhich are semi closed have forged pistons & have a stronger crank the rods im unsure, as checking they seemed to be the forged type, but listed as cast.i fitted standard sti v4 heads. which were scimmed and have little temp strips to the sides. comatic 1.0 multi layer head gaskets, & bolted together using arp head studs. an uprated oil pump was used, suplyed by area 52. theres an lightend flywheel & stage 1 exedy clutch. the plugs are 7b ngk platinum, this is all bolted to a p1/sti gear box

the oil ive used for years is 10w/50 pro s. the engine was mapped last year by jgm last summer at surry rolling road. with the standard td05 16g, made 341bhp, and 338ftlb of torque. the blocks can take 425 as is, the heads 500 as is. so with just a bigger turbo, & injectors. and a good mapper, this engine will get just that. a mate has the same engine, and his is at just over 400bhp. alot of advise was given via area 52/jgm/scoobyclinic + others off here. i've been building engines for years know.

the reat of the cars parts was to help the car stop & handle.
all the prices ect, well some are in the for sale section

still, alads nipping over later for the rear brakes. and 2 other peeps want the brembos, and arb/drop links. i have interest in the engine

You'll make more breaking it unfortunately.

Get buyers for the biggest/most expensive bits first.

Best of luck with it.

just found out today, when i got the engine. i seen that it has the sti forged rods. asked area 52 at the time, they said it was the sti v8 that had these, and that they also had the stronger crank ect

well had a reply from the guy i got the block off, its not an sti v7 bottom end, its deff the sti v8 block, exsplain everything really

still, the guy who asked for it first, told him 1.6k so sticking with it

what else was better with the sti v8 to the v7?
