can someone put me on the right track please regarding the BF series gauges, ive been told you dont need the defi control unit ?

also

1. on the back of the defi gauges you have 3 connectors 2x4pin connectors eitherside of a 2/3pin connector im i right in thinking the 1st 4pin connector is where you have your red,black,orange and white connected to internal wiring then the 2/3 pin connector go's to either the oil pressure sensor,boost,or oil temp sensors then the other 4 pin you loop to the next defi gauge

i would think it will need a control unit. BF is the current model ?

just bought a set of 3 for £140

AFAIK, the three wiring sockets on the back of the gauges are:
4-pin FROM control box
3-pin TO an external warning light if required
4-pin TO the next gauge in ther daisy chain.

So on all except the last gauge in a chain, both 4-pin sockets are in use and NONE of the three pin unless warning lights are fitted.

I too was of the opinion that BF gauges need the control box.
