Stock Sti ECU Remap

Stock Sti ECU Remap
Maybe a noob question, but I wondered what the gains would be from getting a remap done on the stock Sti ECU with no mods?
I saw that Mocom racing do remaps on subaru ecus, negating the need for an ecutek license. But with no mods what gains would you see from stock setup.
I'm driving a newage Sti (2005 blobeye)
Would this count as a mod for insurance purposes? Another thing i saw that could potentially not affect insurance, an Sti panel filter? Dunno if this would help or not?

I'd estimate about 20 - 30 bhp / lbft on a std car with a good remap to get fuel / ignition etc. just right to suit the engine. The STi panel filter is usually the way to go until aiming for big power builds.
But it will be the way the car drives that will be better!
The insurance would like to know ofany changes to the performance or steal-a-bility ( more desirable to steal if e.g. fancy wheels ) as that increases the risks to them.
L&V and other insurance co's ask for things like ECU changes and count a remap in that.
