Moderators - why not add an STI forum?

Or subfoldering the General forum?
As an STI7 owner,I frequent this forum to enrich my knowledge of my car, and share whatever info/experience I've learned about the STI.
Splitting the General forum into WRX, pre 00, and STI,would make it easier to access the info. you require, and have more focused and relevant info. sharing, with people seeking the same topics.
Thoughts?

We'd also need an import section, jap or europe, modded or unmodded etc. the list could go on and on. Saying that I'm getting my Sti in a few weeks so its a good idea.

Lots of the technical (and not so technical ) information and discussion is generic and not necessarily specific to model type.
Also, the number and type of forums is a balance between finding appropriate places for discussion without segregating the community into Scooby model cliques.
Sorry, but I think it would be a wrong move to have model specific forums...
Cheers

Seen this question loads of times :
When they released the 22B (see below)
When they released the RB5
When they released the P1
When they released the MY01
When they released the UK300
And now the STI
Most of the fanatics above went to yahoo groups and created a mailing list which is probably better if you want to share specific model info. You may find that the list will stop after a few months though .
The STI is not a totally new car and has a lot of shared components .
The only exception was the 22B and Anders created 22B.com which is very technical BBS for the 22B and other imprezas.
Cheers

not a good idea. The split of the forums right now is excellent. You would get far less input having an STi only forum as most who have no specific interest in those cars wouldnt go there. These same people would be able to answer and discuss with you if they did see the post.
It wont add to the BBS so i say no to the idea.
Thanks for asking though!

That is a huge point. I can understand Boxer's idea, but I believe Johnfelstead has a point there.
Cheers,
