Hi Pete. It didn't go so well actually, absolutely no fault of Duncans though. First, the bung rattled loose from the up pipe, and we had to go back to adapt and overcome. Using the Egt sensor from the old up-pipe we bunged the hole, it was a fiddly bugger and hotter than the sun. It wasn't quite tight enough which first manifested itself as boost dropping off then as the sensor/bung rattling under the car again.
As Duncan had another customer it was only fair to let him go on. So that was my tale of woe. I am searching for a bung that will replace the Egt sensor that sits in the newage up-pipe.
Many thanks to Duncan for persevering as he did, and we are re scheduled for Thursday afternoon. Can't wait!

I'd be interested to know how much/if any difference is made by your VF35 ported wastegate with Forge uprated actuator (blue spring fitted). All the best for Thursday

Right, we are back on track. The up-pipe has been bunged and is NEVER rattling out! I managed to get hold of a suitably sized bolt (cheers Jura) and had it cut down to suit. Fitted with a copper washer, it is tighter than a nuns chuff. Wish me luck for tomorrow! Ill keep you all posted on Duncans power estimates!

Sounds good. Ask him his thoughts on the difference with your porting and uprated actuator if you can

Dont know how to take that?!! Just kidding, looking forward to getting it sorted, as Im sure you are too! Now have red spring on actuator, holding a good 0.95 bar wastegate pressure (?) solid. Hopefully no snags tomorrow!

Quick Reply: Remap tomorrow with Dynamix
