Circuit Days track days
Has anyone been on a Circuit Day track day (www.circuit-days.co.uk)? I'm thinking about going to their next Silverstone one and wondered if it was good value for money - £179 for the day, open pitlane with the track open for 7 hours in total.
I've not been on a track day before, although I have done some rallying and the odd bit of rally-cross so I'm not new to motorsport, but I'll be driving a pretty much standard blob STI PPP albeit with PF front disks and pads and grooved rear disks. The idea is to see whether I enjoy it enough to justify spending money either upgrading the car or buying something else as a track car (gussy's spec C-RA looks attractive!), so I'm also wondering if I might be better going on a cheaper day with more limited track time as an intro.

£179 for a full day at silverstone, open pit lane (ie unlimited track time) is very good value
Do it, you'll love it, then come on here and we'll help you with go faster bits and quicker slowing down bits
Just make sure you have decent pads/brakes, clean oil, pref a thicker velocity to cope with higher tempratures, be prepared to murder your tyres and Dont put the handbrake on when you come back into the pits until the brakes have cooled right down.
Have fun

I did the Nurburgring trip with them last year, great trip, but the advert was misleading, it indicated there would be only 50 cars on track, but there were actually 270 cars there during the day.
The circuit days chaps were very good, I'd use them again.

i've done 3 with circuit days so far and have more booked, all seemed well organised and profesionally done, i do prefer open pit lane days as you can come and go on the track as you please.
