The main difference is the STI Type R is a two door coupe while the standard STI has four doors

my car has control diff,water spray,aluminium bonnet and boot.2 door.does this make it type r or ra

Mate,
The Type RA is a 4 door version!
The 22B, P1 and STI Type R are the only Impreza Turbo models that are available in a 2 door version

So the fact that P1's are Prodrived Sti V's and they are 2 doors means they were Sti V Type R's?

Not all type R's came with the trick diff
so the P1 is still a Type R but with ABS
