Find where he livres and pay him a visit. .? If you have ip, you have isp. If you have isp you can get billing name and address, and if adsl, phone number where the internets at.

get police connections to call isp, and they can give details as above.

Sorry to say but it does look like he's had your pants down.

I wouldn't waste any more time on this to$$er and hand the details over straight away to your local Police force.

If certainly appears that the turbo is still on his car unless he happens to own two of the same turbo, there is the benefit of the doubt but I'd be very surprised if it were due in this instance.

Have you tried sending him a pm on TTS? Or is he ignoring those as well? As you say, he's been posting on there as recent as 27th (apparently still with a md321H fitted).
I hope its something innocent (like he's changed his ISP / e mail?) and you get it sorted soon, Mate

He has been on his other forums too..

Looks like he drags the car, I wonder if there are any videos of it anywhere?

People say there are two sides to every story and unless the guy in question comes up with a legitimate excuse for his actions, it doesn't look good against him in all fairness.

Good luck anyway mate

We just seem to be reading this sort of thing again and again on here. Is this country really becoming full of scammers and crooks? Feels like it.

To the OP good luck and hope you get it sorted.

police are completly useless in situations like this, it is of no benefit to them so why should they bother. they can make more money sitting at the side of the road with a radar gun.

unfortunatley the only way you are likely to see your money or turbo again is to go fetch them using force as required

So you've sent almost £1k to a person you don't know, hoping that they post a turbo to you

term x, yes someone i dont know. Like all my internet purchases. But also yes to all checks. Got his name and address on the electoral roll plus off 192.com. When i realised i got stung i got back on to 192 and pulled the landline phone number. The bloke i am dealing with is Paul Butler, the gentleman of the above details was a Pete Butler. When i did all the checks a P Butler on the account was all i saw. My fault really. All good though as both the email ip addresses he used have been traced back to both his home and work addresses.

Good things come to those who wait, now this guy will get whats coming to him. You may have lost your 1k (hopefully not) but you have enough details to make him loose way more than that. Pay him a visit in the right manner, tell him he has 24 hours to get you your money or your turbo or you will sort it your own way. ALWAYS TRY THE RIGHT WAY FIRST. The more of us on here stick together the less likely we are gonna be ripped off. I only have a Trader score of 1 but thats cos i havnt sold much though here due to me not paying to advertise yet but the trader score is an excellent way of viewing wether sumbody is trust worthy. Hopefully you will get what you paid for. I wouldnt let it lie untill you do. More than one way to skin a cat as they say

Did you pay by cheque? Maybe contact your bank, explain the situation to them. They'll be able to find out the sort number and account code and therefore the Bank/B.S and account name / address etc for whoever banked it. I'd give the bloke one last chance to reply - Tell him nothing more of your plans - just pass to the cops if you don't hear back within - 2 weeks from today. (Shows you have been MORE than reasonable) Surely the mods on here have access to PII that could help identify exactly who he is and possibly where he lives.

Do you have anything in writing where he gave you the incorrect address and other contact details? If so then I think it would tip this over from being a civil matter to a criminal fraud case because it would prove he has intentionally deceived you. Worth talking to the police if you have this.

Thats just what i did Fud, got a solicitor and supplied him with his name and addresses, bank account, sort code, photobucket account, facebook account etc.

I would love to go over to his house Fud but that could lead me into trouble. I do have some of my boys on a construction site about 20 minutes away from there though. They went past the address just to make sure i had the correct place and they came back with some good news.

Thank you guys for all your support though, i have had loads of private messages with some very helpful info and offers. (how about £500 to break his legs!? i **** you not)
