Hi Jamie at 3.5k RPM have full boost(1.0bar),but spooling from around 2.6k-2.8k RPM
But now is fitted with VF34 which have similar characteristic spooling, but make more BHP(350-360bhp at 1.4-1.5bar)

Hi Jamie get rid of Bailey DV and get Forge Recirc Valve or standard OE Recirc Valve.
For best you will try book your car for RR(Rolling Road),where you will when car start spooling and where is peak and etc.Cost for RR is around £45-£55.
This is best option for you, matey

Here is the Prodrive brochure which appears to have a standard WRX map on the graph also. I'd imagine your car should be similar (I think the ECU's changed, hence MY03 onwards quoted, but wouldn't have thought the basic map would be much or any different...).

http://www.prodrive.com/up/03MY%20WRX%20PPP.pdf

Basically you should feel it really start to pull from 3000rpm. As stated above you really need to get rid of that DV as your likely loosing power with it on.

Hope that helps a bit.
