Default hi and advice needed

Hi,

I am Daniel from Hereford, been looking through this site for a while. I used to own a legacy turbo some years ago and have just bought an impreza. Its a 1996 wrx V limited. It has the seats with the 1995 world rally champions embroydered??? on them in a circle and the same badge on the boot.
It has air con, elec front and rear windows and rear wash wipe.

Can anyone tell me much about this model?

Also the bottom end is knocking, the engine runs but knocks. What is the best thing to do, rebuild or fit another motor.

Cheers

Dano

I guess it depends on if you can find a decent motor which fits your future needs or if you want to have a build with your current unit and have it done so it definitely will.

Get a decent rebuild of your current motor from someone like API. Unless you're buying an engine you know, buying second hand means you're buying an unknown quantity. Bob

mmm, at the moment i just need to get it on the road. I will be saving then for a x trail as a daily and the impreza will be a toy. A standard wrx engine seems pretty cheap looking around.

Get a Forester instead of the X trail, I nearly bought one for fishing and am so glad I test drove a Forester first and also found more usable space in the Forester by a mile.

I will have a look but with about £4500 to spend I can get a oil burner x trail but doubt I can get a forester oil burner.
