I think you might find the Mondeo a little boring, the Clio being French will inherently go wrong and is awkward to get parts for. I work in a Factors and we quite often struggle to get parts if they are not general service items and can be costly. I'd say go for the Fiesta, can't say I've heard any bad press about them in the trade to be honest

I also agree with the earlier poster who said look at the Civic Type R EP3. Fun and bulletproof.

I would fo for the ST150 as they can quite easily be tuned up to 200bhp at reasonable outlay. If your nervous about all those horses galloping through the front wheels some have fitted LSD with big imrovements in handling.
Alternatively i think your options with the Renault would be limited unless you shell out big bucks.

tuned my old fiesta ST to 190bhp. not a bad little car tbh BUT , have said this before nick, get the fiesta zetec s tdci, add a dreamscience tune and you will be very pleased with the result regarding performance plus will be much more economical than the 2.0 ST.

Fun factor? Has to be the Clio. My lad has a 197 sport and loves it, I'd struggle to shake him off.

Google the dreamscience thingy. It's seems only to be worth 15bhp and it costs a small fortune.

id say none of the above.

clio fun but forever goin wrong , friend had one and it was at renaults more than he had it . build quality not very good

fiesta , under powered , bulky also parts are expensive and build quality is rubbish .

mondeo. nice cruiser , comfortable but boring as hell, my mate has one , looks nice but hes bored of it after 6 months .

id check out the civic, integras, audi s3 or something along them lines

the french thing is not worth talking about.

the mondeo if the injectors goes which is a common fault at least 1k to fix and need ford to reprogramme them.

a4 tdi sport,or bmw 320tdi sport,or keep the scooby and buy a cheap runabout like i do
