Default Difference between £ 300 100 cell cat, and £600 one

Hi. So what do you get in a £ 600 odd 100 cell sports cat that you dont get in a £ 300 odd one; I`m thinking Ninja vs. Milltek or H and S, or Revolution somewhere in the middle ?
Thanks for your thoughts

I'd guess how good the catalyst works ??

I've an H&S sports cat in 3" downpipe, works a treat. But expensive as you say.

Look for a second hand Prodrive sports cat, can be hard to find, but very good.

Not 100% sure, but I have been told that some 100 cell cats are very difficult to pass the emmisions test with come MOT time.

Prodrive is 100 cell and, providing it is in reasonable nick, will meet emissions requirements. It is alleged that some of the cheaper 100 cells will let you down come MOT time.

I believe cheap cats failing at MOT time was part of the reason type approval was bought in for cats, that and to give EU pen pushers something to do! Probably more to do with standard replacement as opposed to sports cats though.

I reckon the cats were failing becuase they only got 1/2 day usage in a whole year, losing their efficiency

The car needs to be really really warm to get past the exhaust test with a 100 cell. Shouldn't be a problem at all though if your engine is running healthy. 200 cell will just limit the power.
