Clear protective film ?

Clear protective film ?
Or anything alike, for a classic where the yrs of road use sandblast away the paint on the very lower corner of the end of the arches, just above where the sideskirts are/bottom of the door meets the arch.
The UK cars have that small black piece of plastic covering this area, now i can see why LOL,so,is there anywhere that does a film version of this ?
I have acquired the UK small bit of plastic trim that goes here,on uk cars this area has 2 holes in the arch for the lugs/screw to attach the trim,WRX`s etc dont have the holes,so i could ashere this trim with some silicone etc,as i dont want it permantly on,but long enough to last a yr or 2 if need it off, silicone will remove easily enough with some elbow grease/solvents etc.
BUT,having a white car and black trim piece looks a bit naff hence the clear film query ???
cheers
