HID Kit
Anyone know what HID kit I'd need for a 2005 WRX? Think I've read somewhere that they are H3 but not entirely sure? And is 8000k just a brighter version of the 6000k ones I've seen?
Cheers

Am pretty sure h1 is dipped on 2005 car. If you get a slim ballast kit the ballasts will fit under the headlights out the way. I had one on my wrx and they were fine. I have noticed they now do h1 kits for reflector housings that are shielded like d2r bulbs presume these would be better as they would help reduce the risk of glare to other traffic
These bulbs I think are h1r

Skinner: in what way are they "worth it"?
The ballasts are rated at 55W, yes, but so far NO-ONE makes a 55W HID lamp, so it would appear to be at best, a waste of money, and at worst, a scam.
MDS: the figures you quote are called "colour temperature, and are NOT an indication of brightness, in fact brightness is the INVERSE of the number quoted, so a 5000K will be brighter than 8000K.
The HIGHER the number, the more blue they are.
Daylight is 4300K, which is the brightest available, but not all kits feature that, so if in doubt 5000K is next best.

So, it now it looks as though for a 2005 WRX I just need to find a H1 kit with 5000k/6000k bulbs, anyone got any good recommendations so I don't end up buying a rubbish kit?!
