Default MY 2007 STI Limited

Hi all,

After buying my brother's Blobeye WRX last year I've really got the Scooby bug. The only issue for me after owning a VX220 for a few years I was missing the feedback and tighness from the chassis. After test-driving a Hawkeye STI it was clear that this answered my requirements.

Liking the subtle looks the Spec D was always my favoured choice however in recent weeks I've become aware of the MY07 STI Limited. Now I know there were sold in limited numbers and I am aware of one for sale, I just wanted to see if there were any other STI Limited owners who were perhaps thinking of selling.

TIA

Adam

Its not really a limited as such, not a special edition, its just a UK marketing thing to shift a few more, you may well be better off with a Spec D or even better a JDM A-Line which are as rare as rocking horse poo over here (just ashame about the exchange rate )

The STi Ltd was sold by dealers who didn't want to sell the IM derived Spec D (price or availability?), so they sourced them a EU imports.

Essentially the same as a Spec D other than I think a lip boot spoiler, no Smartnav, STi badges and black Brembo brakes?

Cheers for the replies guys. Hopefully cleared a few things up for me.

So the A-Line was a JDM import. Did it have the 2.0 litre twin scroll engine or the 2.5??

You could always buy my spec d & have the limited spoiler lip fitted, they are still available from dealers.

Hi Guys

I've got a black Limited and love it. For me the right comnbination of understated aggression and performance. Apparently (the Dealer thought...) 25 sold in the UK, many more overseas (800 odd in the US I think). Dealer also reckoned Subaru UK used them as company cars. Could all be b*****t, who knows.

"The STi Ltd was sold by dealers who didn't want to sell the IM derived Spec D (price or availability?), so they sourced them a EU imports."

I'd be interested to know what "IM derived" means? So the Limited's are EU imports - that is interesting. Does this make them different in any other way to the Spec D other than the black Brembo's etc? Like maybe different wiring or rust protection?

Always interesting to find out more about your motor!

Cheers

The car isnt a limited anything, its basically as all have said above, a eu version of the spec d.
If you want a real limited car then its normally a JDM car
