Default Omg how much is petrol

Put some fuel in yesterday at our local shell it was 131.9 per litre , the woman in the shop said its going to 135.9 on tuesday !!!!!!!!!!

I think this country is taking the f@@king pi@@ now , if this was any other country they would have a protest , everyone would stick together and bring there country to a hault , but our country will let them political di@@hea@ds get away with anything .........

Given that each penny increase in fuel duty raises about an extra £500 million for the Exchequer, it is easy to see why the Chancellor is tempted to hike rates

And this is the first of 3 tax rises this year !!!

We wouldnt do this have a read

Thats my Jan rant over

Sorry

Tell me about it mate were up at 132.9 here aswell, vat rise comes in Tuesday. This country is screwed. I work damn hard to have a house/car etc, and all I get is reamed by the government from every angle. Work hard to pay tax to fund the hordes of sponging *******s on benefit.

For that exact reason after the 2000 fuel protests the government passed a law, extremely stealthily, to make this sort of protest an act of terrorism and therefore illegal

This government will never back down on fuel rises as it will give them more cash to pay for the bankers debt even though the government owns half of most banks in the UK now.

Yep £1.50 before you know it.....

How long do we keep the traditional "stiff upper lip" for? Surely the breaking point is soon

At the moment, 133.9 for V-Power at my local in Romford. local Tesco is 129.9 for Momentum.
Not only will there be duty/VAT rises, but the price of crude will probably continue up. By the summer I wouldn't be surprised to see local V-Power at least 145.9
Just roll over with your legs in the air and accept it - it's the English way!

Its been in for 20,000 miles John, no problems (they are nearest higher octane garage to us). However, i had enough of paying through the nose for it and had the hatchback remapped just before Christmas for 95 ron, and it feels no different. It saved me £9 each fill up since!

I'm not saying your engine will go bang, but it's certainly not Ultimate compared to the alternative SUL out there, but you know this!

I'm not surprised it feels no different on 95 to Ultimate, that just shows you how rubbish that was.

Yeh lets barrackade a motorway. Its cold so we will need our engines running to warm up from time to time; that will burn off a tank of fuel, then we can goto the forecourts and show the peskie governement again, by spending more on fuel....it is what it is people, hardly any difference in prices in Europe either now, certainly France is similar.

What should p1ss us off is that un like America, fuel never goes down here when oil prices do. Also when the government have enough coin from us, do you think they will reduce the price again....BS...but if ya hate it, buy a Toyota that runs on Electricity.
