Whats it worth? Bugeye WRX

To be honest it isnt the desirable shade of blue, not that I am biased with owning a WRB wrx.
If you are on the market for a wrx, shop around, I picked my wrx up for just over 3500, no service history (was a bit of a gamble to be honest) and the guy needed to sell to buy a new gearbox for his jeep. It was bog standard, I have done quite a bit to it and fully serviced it up and have owned it a year now, hasn't missed a beat. No rust, nothing broken and inside the car was like new as the guy used seat covers for years. All of the extras were bought at less than new prices via local forums etc and Id say that I have only just hit the cost of what the car should have cost in the first place so in my eyes owes me nothing for the mods inc new rims etc.
Surely the light beam patterns can be adjusted seeing as they are projectors?

I wouldn't value it as high as 4k with that mileage in mica blue.
My mate just bought a mica blue bugeye with 68k and fsh, a wagon so worth less normally but he paid £2200 for that and it drives great.
I personally think circa £3k at the moment would get something similar to that.

i'm not to sure on the lights being honest.
The car is possibly being offered as a straight swap for my Astra. I like the shade of blue. A straight swap makes my life soooooooooo much easier than having to de-bfg my car, get back to the UK, look at Scooby's over there, and then get one back to Germany and buy LHD headlights and then get it BFG'd

When I was looking for one for the mrs recently saw a few bugeye wagons around £3k, including a nice mica red one with decent miles for £3k. Ended up with a low mileage classic in the end but it's a buyers market that's for sure.
There's sti saloons out there for that sort of money now.

Agree with you 100%, wanted a WR blue one but ended up with this instead. Colour really grew on me after I gut stuck in with a clay bar and some polish. Whilst I love the WR blue cars theres is umm how do I say, one or two around

I would swap mate with the spoiler and scoop thrown in gotta be worth 3.5k if its gen sti spoiler and scoop. And the headlights are worth £250 easy mate just change the flaps, wheels an wipers and put the spoiler an scoop on an that will be a nice car guess the price isnt really relevent ask yourself which you like best simples

alloys, flaps n wipers would be going. dunno if they are gen sti scoop n spoiler. I like it, its a nice colour, its a Scooby and i've always wanted a Scooby, but its not really the Classic i had my heart set on, but as its already in Germany, it does make my life alot easier, the only thing putting me off it, is the mileage of 91k.

I tend not to be put off by high mileage on a modern car if its been well looked after. Perhaps wouldnt want 130k+ but I not to worried about 90k. When I looked at mine there was one in the colour I was after and the same price but with 70k and a few less shiny magpie bits fitted. The one with lower miles had some painting done badly and no cambelt invoice. If this had all been scrimped on I reckoned a lot would have been so went with the higher mileage one in the end.
Dont let it come down to just cold hard numbers on the clock!

good advice,
other ways of checking anything has been skimped on is tyres if it has budget tyres or different brands every corner may well be skimped on in other places to like services ect also check what quality oil has been used on any service history receipts

Personlly Dave I reckon if you had your heart set on a classic you might be better to not rush in and get the car you really want. As has been said its a buyers market at the mo. I picked up my classic my97 jdm wagon for under £1500 with a years MOT adn 6 month tax, 67k miles.
