That isn't why insurance is going up at all.

Lots of insurers have used the 1-50 groupings for years now.

its probably no different if the subaru sti is group 20 on the 1 to 20 scale and so would a ferrari be for example they probably just put an additional % load on a ferrari , but going by the 1 to 50 scale the subaru's are around group 40 and the ferraris are group 50 which would be % loaded by grouping . Thats my guess I did insurance underwriting for 11 years but Ive been out of the game along time. Apart from the value of our cars is there anything that actually goes down in price , petrol, food , insurance its all business and businesses need to make money.

when i worked in insurance a few years ago, cars were rated on a 20-99 scale (this includes the likes of tesco, directline etc), with an import impreza sitting nicely at approx 89, higher than some ferrari's on the system
