Classic buying advice.
Hi.
I am thinking of buying a classic salon to use mostly on the track,
With that many to choose from I'm unsure of which ones to start looking at.
Price wise i would say around the 4k mark.
I have never owned a classic, always had wagons
So which ones shall i look at?
Cheers

Picked mine up cheap and unmolested. Wagons are a good buy and more commonly unmolested I find

I know
Wagons make great track cars, easy to work on the interior and carry wheels to events
Early STi's will have the shorter ratio box making them quick and eager as well as having a TD05 for starters. RA's are without doubt the most desired factory track car but in all honesty once you strip out an impreza and add power you blur the lines of whats best to start with. In all honesty the best car to start with is the best you can get for your budget, rot free and as clean as you can find. CDB aside early STi's of all incarnations are the best fun by a country mile
