whats the cost on fitting a secondhand one and cost for tweaks after
also is there a cost for activating the lc and al ?
can you have switchable maps on this ecu
lastly are there a good ecu for a my02 uk sti , only looking to mod to about 380-400bhp

Im running a autronics ecu in my version 8 jdm running 440bhp, there a australian based company i believe, mine has been no probs at all, i picked mine up for £450/500 secondhand off here! I couldnt grumble at that price, the only thing i will say is about the cold start, my revs are a bit up and down until she gets warm, but i think this is the case with most aftermarket ecu's. Fitting is easy but for another £40/£50 you mayas well get the mapper to do it

I have Autronics fitted (Paul @ Zen Performance) and it has only ever had one problem where it lost the map......but apart from that the cold start and idle has been spot on........also the cool down function after the antilag is switched of is quite trick.....sounds like a rally car on rough idle.....
However i do think it may soon be up for sale as have heard such good things about the Syvecs....

Can't have switchable maps generally although FiestaBoy says it is possible (via him!) although a tad fiddly ... my car has switchable boost which is via the boost controller not the ECU. It's a good ECU for the money as costs way less than that one that the big power boys use (will come to me later!).

Edit - syvecs as noted above.
