Default Got a fine today

Yep got a £40 fine today, not for speeding though.
For having my right side of my car over hanging the parking bay line by around a foot.

The full story, the council car park was half full.
The bay I parked in had a car over hanging into the one I was parking into.
So I had to park over hanging the next bay and so did the next car that would park next to me.

I come back after 32mins with a fine stuck to my window.
The original car that was over hanging has gone,
but the next car to me was over hanging their bay cause mine was.
So I go and do a quick check on who got a fine & who was over hanging their parking bays.
Five cars in total, but only my car was fined.

Now I had a look at the painted bays, most of them are clearly marked.
But the ones I parked in where faded and the lines were broken.

So any tips on how to fight these robbing ******* ?

Contest it although don't admit guilt ... all you'll lose out on is the ability to pay half within 14 days. At least make the ******* work for their money!

I have had loads of speeding fines over the last few years. Not one point on my license. My dad sorts them out but basically he says anything like that contest it. Send pictures in and explain what happened. They have a time scale i think six months and if the case isnt dealt with its dropped. There are many loops jus need someone with the know. I had a case where 3 points and a fine turned into a day course which i said i didnt want to do in the end and have never done. Jus argue and they get bored.

Its the nearest end to the shops and I had 2 moaning kids with me.
It was meant to be a quick in & out trip.

My problem is I didnt take any photos at the time, I was fizzing at what happened.
I did return later just to confirm to myself the bays where not clearly marked.

So I dont know what to say on this one, as I dont have the pics of the cars to back me up.

We've had no snow up here in Fort William, well not much to speak off around a few mills. All the roads and paths are completely clear.

I went up to the dept that deals with the fines.
I put my case across on why my car was over hanging its bay.

So now Ive been offered a fine of £10, cause my car was still not parked within its box.
Ive got 14 days to decided on what Im going to do.
Its not the sum of the money thats the problem, its the reason why I had to park like that.

Either you, or your dad, must be in the fukcin' MASON's guy.

I tried to fight one and got nearly double the fine, an extra point and £150 costs.
