Question

Does anyone know where I might get a spray can of sonic Blue (74F) paint?
Thanks.

Err, no
but if your local Subaru dealer can't supply it any decent body shop should be able to mix you an extremely close match and blend it in.

PS What happened?

Don't worry Boost, no damage to the car, I was just toying with the idea of doing a bit of interior colour coding a la Fiat Coupe (only a bit more subtle).
Thanks for the advice.

Tamiya models do the blue in a small can for those little jobs.
Only £3.99 from all good model shops

I just tried 74F in Paint Shop Pro. It seems that 74F is the RGB value i.e. html code #7040F0 or Red 112, Green 64, Blue 240
(divide numbers by 16).

I'll get my coat...

Pete,

There are several bodyshops that will make paint up into aerosol cans. I know Listers deal with one that does. If you have trouble try Pete in parts on 01905 640512.

Re the Tamiya paint, as a sad modelling git, I would have to say that, quite apart from the paint being very soft, the colour doesn't even come closer to the WRC blue, let alone Sonic.

Personally, I got a small amount of paint from Listers and use it with an airbrush. Just remember these paints usually need thining with celulose thinners.

Yep, try Halfords as I got a pot (they do spray as well) of Sonic Blue 74F from there the other week and it's a better match than the official subaru stuff.
