Default Indicator Problem

Hi Folks,

My '00 WRX RA has developed a random problem with the indicators. Every so often the indicators will be working fine but then they'll stop working & won't light up. When the indicators stop working a weird sound comes from the fuse box.

I'll then press the hazard button which will 'reset' things & they'll start working again.

It happens randomly but pretty much everyday now.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the flasher relay is on the way out.

It's situated high up under the dash, driver's side.

Next time you hear the weird noise, (a description might help), reach up and touch the relay, to see if it's that making it.

Replacement, like for like takes about tem minutes, (although you have to be VERY flexible), and they cost under £10

It could be the relay that is making the noise as well then as it seems to be something around the dash so thanks for that

I'll have a look at buying another & replacing it.

Wait until it does it again, then reach up under the dash and feel if it's coming from that relay.
