Default Is it possible?

I live opposite a police station.........I've been told that it could be the cause of my alarm randomly going off in the middle of the night because of radio frequencies. Anyone heard of this?

not heard of that but around here we found anyone who parked in a certain carpark that was opposite the police station and had not had the sigma brain changed to the shielded type couldn't operate their alarm due to the frequencies being alike from the police radio and their key fob.

Yeah this is a common problem.

I think it depends on your alarm, I park right next to a police station and don't have any problems, mine is a toad alarm but I have heard of people having problems

I had a similar problem with my sigma, once when i was parked in my local Council offices the remote wouldn't work, i locked it by the key, sat there for 10 mins with the alarm going off before it would allow me to put the code back in to de activated the alarm.

Depends what year. IIRC, it was changed on the MY98 alarm, to the shielded type.

never had the alarm go off in my MY00 classic, but was a pain to get into if next to a police station...it was hit or miss whether i could actually activate the immobiliser and plip the doors open. many a time i had to just open the door and use the keypad.
