Hi mate, I've just fitted my Apex coilovers today, and the handling is amazing. Apex are basically BC's, and there a fantastic price, a little over 500 quid.
I think this would be a place to start, then maby move on to rear ARB, and drop links, then bushes and front ARB.
If your looking for coilovers, Bren@apex is running a GB page, and the best palace if to go. CDF do some seriously good quality drop links, and White line are the best for ARB.

The biggest influencing factor is what car and what model year.

I would go for

A Set Of Lowering Springs
22mm Rear Anti Roll Bar
Uprated Front & Rear Drop Links
Suspension & Steering Geometry Alignment

This would make a real difference and transform your car.

I've heard from some of the Nissan boys that BCs are ****e, also alot of the coilovers, like tein have poor ride quality because of the spring ratios as they're designed for Japanese smooth roads, not our crappy uk roads, hsd are apparently good but nit sure if they make for Subaru

I've done these mods on my Blob, Eibach springs and 24mm rear ARB, fast road geometry setup. As Cannon Fodder states, transforms the car and rhe ride is better than before.
