Default Hi guys, newbie here and potential new scooby owner

Hi people,I'm jamie and after recently selling my escort rs turbo,I am looking at getting an impreza in the new year.

I am goin to try and get an early wrx or an sti type ra.hopefully in White with the version 5 rear spoiler.

I have a few plans for mods but would like to know what exhausts many of you are using.am thinking of getting a kakimoto regu, anyone using one of these?and what's your opinions on them?

anything in particular to look out for when purchasing apart from the usual smoking etc etc

if you want to know my plans for my future scoob just ask.

Thanks in advance
jamie

Hi jamie, welcome to scoobynet!! pretty new myself... never heard of that exhaust you mentioned but just googled it seems to be quite good from what people say. Im running ninja downpipe with sports cat, decat center to an afterburner vortex backbox which sounds awesome would highly recommend it!!. All I would say when looking for a scoob try and look at a few!! to see how much they can vary in condition and look for good history! I spent nearly a year looking for mine (mint type r vlimted) but yeah look for the usual stuff aswell like smoke at 3000rpm, im sure if you look on here theres lots of pointers for when your looking to buy!

Good Hunting, Col

I am liking the look of this one

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/lar...del=IMPREZAWRX

although I don't like the mirrors or wheels at all.

Bodywise I want the sti looks with a p1 carbon front splitter
22b front and rear arches
22b sideskirts
and either 17 or 18 inch inovit st6s in White or sprayed black (can't decide).
with red/smoked rear lights

eventually would like a carbon fibre oem style bonnet with v5 carbon wing and carbon
boot, also the roof wrapped in carbon.we can all dream lol

as for the exhaust I reckon it will depend on which model I get because of the different power outputs.if over 300bhp I will get a 3 inch turbo back system but if under that il get a 2.5 inch with a 3.5 inch tail.

Thanks for your welcomes any comments/advice appreciated
jamie
