Default Subaru sometimes splutters at low revs

Hi guys can anyone help, i have a 1999 subaru impreza 2000 uk turbo and sometimes not all the time it will start to splutter and lose power when i accelerate at low revs after about a minute its ok and then later on in day it mite do it again. As anyone got any idea what it is, should i change plugs and fuel filter i have already cleaned dump valve if that was 1 thing to do. Any help would be very appreciated.

Do you think the boost solinoid is to blame and would it be better to replace it with a new 1.

Imho, i think the boost solenoid would only cause problems with the car coming onto boost...

Id change the plugs and leads, and go from there.
Also, the dump valve may be the problem, ive known of people to have similer problem due to a VTA dump valve.

I have fully dismantled the dump valve and gave it a really good clean and now seems to b working fine, also its a FORGE dump valve. I will change the plugs and leads but it does not splutter all the time, im thinking if it was a plug or a lead wouldnt it do it all the time.

A bad lead, will cause more trouble in the damp/wet weather due to the moisture. Once the car is warmed up, the problem wont be so noticable.

Maybe worth checking your CTS sensor aswell.

Not all the time no. Have you done a fault code check with the plugs under the steering colum?

To get to connectors do you have to take the plastic cover off under steering column or are they easy to get to.

Fairly easy. It just all depends if theyve been taped into the loom or not.

Ive had 2 imprezas and all mine were just hanging, just look up from the floor and you should see them there.

Right i got my mate to check codes and he says theres no fault showing, so i will change plugs and leads and go from there. Hopefully it will b a dodgy plug, also i run it on v power petrol. This problem i have only happens about 3 times a week.
