im looking to buy a wrx bugeye soon, i need a little bit of advice on buying one. im not sure what to look out for when buying one, other than service
history.are there any common problems that i need to be aware of? other than the usual crash damage and the cars history (hpi check).

please help!!!!!!!!

usual smokey turbo
any knocking
if modded then try and check whats been done and check if its been re-mapped to suit, (who mapped it)
if it has PPP then ask for proof ie cetificate.

 

Give it a good test drive and get it up to temp. Pay close attention to the gearbox for things like worn syncros and jumping out of gear.

Obviously you are going to get the pretend rally drivers out there but just have a good look for the things you would in any other car or take someone with you who does.You will be able to tell if the car has not been looked after and just ragged around.I have had mine for nearly 6 years and just done things for service tyres,fluids and brakes not had any major problems great car especially in the wet and white stuff.
