Default cost of a new radiator

Just need to know the rough cost of a new radiator for a classic. Reason is im sat at the side of the road with a bust radiator! Thankfully it isn't snowing (yet!)
Thanks
Arran

Hi Arran

I can possibly get one to you tomorrow if you need one.
Would you like to pm me a phone number? I can call you early tomorrow and sort it out. I'm pretty sure there is a daily delivery down your way.
I'll sort out a trade price for you.

Fitting is very easy. For me it was the first thing I ever did under a bonnet. It only look about hour and a half. When the one goes one the scoob I have now I'm going to fit an aluminium one, they are only about £150.

I would also recommend a Aluminium rad mate.

Ditto.

I have a spare standard one, second hand obviously. It's from a legacy twin turbo but I think they're the same as the GC8 ones...

cooling wise, is there any difference between a standard one and a alloy one? as the standard one has a alloy core anyway??

Cooling wise I ddin't notice any difference. But they are much stronger and don't split down the sides like the standard plastic ones.

I got a J4performance one off of ebay and was very impressed by the fit and quality. It was just over £100 which isn't far off the standard item.

The only thing was to get my silicone hoses to fit i had to heat and bend up slightly the inlet for the top hose.

they tend to cool a bit better as they are thicker, so have more volume.
