Maybe my crap tyres but when I had it set to rear and gave the throttle a wee tap while driving in a straight line the car instantly went sideways

Still got T1rs on just now, waiting for my snow tyres to be delivered

Have T1R's on my other wheels. First sign of Frost and the car felt skittish. Bought the winter tyres and transformed the car. Feels so much safer as I ferry my family about. Just need to keep an eye on all the other drivers now, Especially big 4x4's

It locks the centre diff basically, you have to be a little careful when driving as its not recommended doing serious miles with it locked, you will feel the LSD's working and that can be a little nerve racking when the wind up

It would require a gearbox & diff change, plus the DCCD wiring & ECU

Should I be worried about mine making clunking noises when doing manouvers in lock ?

Dont think the 2003 STi has DCCD if it's a UK model.

Classics aswell

Just dont keep it in lock too long, you only really need it when you need extra grip, otherwise keep it in the orange and that clunking is normally your LSD's
