Default Impreza's don't sell !

I had an Impreza 2005 (05) - 45k miles wrx for sale for ages and had no interest apart from a few trade-in offers. It has full service history, owned from new, Andy forrest re-map (280+ bhp), full stainless sportscat exhaust (£1000) Tinted windows, etc and is in beautiful condition. I couldn't even get £6k for it. Does nobody want imprezas anymore ?

hang onto it mate, sounds like you got a good car there & if sold what would you get for 6k? also i think one of the main reasons its not selling is a lot of people have trouble trying to insure these beast of motors..

I had trouble selling my wrx modded as insurance was more than an sti for some people, put it back to standard and it sold easier, then I got extra money for the bits, so I gained more money than I originally advertised it for,

Wink

I've sold my bmw instead and glad to keep the impreza as it's more fun and the insurance is cheaper (£450), being an old sod of 38 helps.

ps. when the weather gets worse as we dip deeper into winter the Subaru's will have no problem to pop out in (compared to the many 2wd sports cars in its class or price tage value;-)

a 1996 wrx saloon in black sold on ebay last night for only £1200 !
it looked a very clean car with a recent rolling road print out of 255bhp, lots of tax and test and was only 5 mile from me, i wish i bought it and used it as a track car.

Performance cars in general aren't selling well. People want diesels or small cheap runabouts.

Great if you're buying, no so great if you're selling.

The only performance cars that i can see holding their value are 'drift' cars. Nissans S bodys seem to still do really well.

I don't think much at all is moving atm. Chrimbo approaching and all that.

I just let our 99 Pug 306 D-Turbo go for £550, but i couldn't see it appreciating any time soon so it went. On the other hand, it has nearly paid for a full years motoring in the Scoob for me and Mrs B.

Likewise, selling my Spec D. Had one guy e-mail then change his mind and that has been it. Not a single phone call and I think it is well priced. Very quiet at the moment.

If the price is right it will sell. "Real" market prices for the Impreza are are much lower than us owners would like to admit

Although this helped me out recently when I bought a lovely Type R for £3k

I think there are buyers out there, as I've just bought a similar spec to yours for 6k.

Mine's a '05 with 28,000 miles.

18" Prodrive gold alloys
Lowered suspension
Haywood and Scott de-cat downpipe
Vortex de-cat centre pipe
Afterburner backbox
Upgraded sparkplugs
Green panel filter
Walbro fuelpump
Cusco brakestopper
B&M Short Shifter
Momo gearknob
Ferodo DS2500 pads
Thatcham Cat1 alarm
Privicy glass
plus remap by Duncan @ Racedynamix, supposedly now running between 285-290bhp.

Where the hell did Mr Hat come from??? Slightly harsh - I've always found this site very helpful!

Couldn't agree more re. the slow selling though. My 2001 WRX been on AT, PH, Ebay for 2 months and not one single offer and I reckon it's priced really well for 75K two owners, standard spec, 1 year MOT, 6 months Tax....

Oh well, be nice to hold onto it for the snow!

Dno, but with 855 posts in over 5 years he is hardly a contributing member. I wouldn't think the board will be any worse off due to his leaving, it may even improve.

I just purchased a 03 Sti and must admit I whilst looking for one I was amazed how many people are choosing to break them and sell parts rather than sell full car.

It isn't just Subaru's.

My friend just picked up an Evo 6 in very good condition, 55k miles, for £5400... and i reckon he could have got it cheaper.
