HID Fitment on a Classic
I'm assuming there are quite a few of you out there that have fitted HIDs to your classics so I'd like to see where and how you mounted the ballasts please?
I've not got slimline ballasts and due to a lack of room in my Type R, it's looking like my bumper will have to come off to get them mounted which I don't really want to do.
Any help / suggestions greatly appreciated.

Stick the ballasts with double sided numberplate tape to the inside of the engine bay wherever.
Prepare to be disappointed with either main beam, or dip, or both.
On the other hand, my HID DRIVING lights are amazing, and their ballasts are fastened either side of the radiator supports with zip-ties

I thought about that but honestly couldn't find anywhere to fit the N/S one without moving things and the O/S was going to end up in the bottom half of the airbox at one point!

Did you mean you have or haven't got slimline ballasts? If you can make up some basic brackets out of 1mm steel or ali sheet, slim-lines should fit flat against the panel below and to the outside of the headlamps (inside of engine bay). Even if they're not slimlines they might still fit there, depending on how much bigger the footprint is.

Does anyone have pics of how they've installed the ballasts?

Got a set of Bi-xenon on my preface classic and they are superb.
Cheapy set off ebay, and they fire back and fore to do hi-low.
BUT.
They are crap for flashing someone out, or venting your point of view. As they take a while to fire up.
