Hello mate. Was the light (EML) on when you got he car or just popped up over the last day or so?
You need to check what the code is adn take it from there mate.
Where abouts are you?

To be honest mate who knows what the light is on for? OK, de cat will show the PO420 code. But without knowing what it is you cannot take any chances matey.
I'd be tempted to take it back and ask them to check for a fault code. Not worth the risk mate.
Bit out the way otherwise I would have plugged my reader into your car for you for a beer token.

Read the code, then take appropriate action...
Some fool has de-cat'd the car, and expected the ecu to know this ? Why buy it if it's poorly modified ?
Re-map or CEL-fix required.
