It is hard to see on my iPhone plus the pics are really small but the lip spoiler and rear spoiler look like a STD sti v or v1 not a p1, what build number is it?

Does it have the carbon lip on the rear spoiler?

Upload the images to photobucket and copy and paste the IMG link for full sized pictures

Rear spoiler really looks like a version 6 spoiler the way it flicks up at the back.

Thought as much, anyway looks like it's a tidy car so well done on the new ride. Wasn't trying to put a downer on the car, just thought you may of been scammed. Miss my old p1 might have to get another one someday

drives so much better than the wr1 , classics are so much better in the handling , as the new shape feels too big where the classic feels small and nimble
i think the wr1 was the worst buy iv ever done , i traded in my v5 sti type r for it , what a mistake , but 3 years of the wr1 was more than i could take

Strange to put sti 6 splitter and rear spoilers on a p1, 2 of it's best original features gone.

tell me about it mate , the last owner said it got swapped coz the bloke couldnt see out of the rear window so he bought a gen sti6 one as its taller than the p1 one ,, dont no how true that is tho

as for the splitter i cant tell the diff any way so it dont bother me

if some one could post a pic up so i can see the diff , would be nice

stu

ps ,, any one got a p1 spoiler for swaps

mmmmm now thats hard ,,, but to be honest not much in it , people say about the gears in a type r, been a import but i find the p1 just as short
as for the dccd unless you use it in a type r (i didnt ) you dont realy notice it

I tend to use the DCCD as much as possible, thats what swayed it to a Type R over a P1 for me, plus there a good few G's cheaper

Whats the drive set at on a P1 then ?

You say theres not much in it, but you never said which one wins it ?

Better be a type R...................

O and nice car btw

its set at 60 /40 i think
as for winning it , it seems iv got the best of both as iv got a p1 with a type r rear spoiler and a type r front splitter ;-)

Arh but the splitter n spoiler help make a p1 a p1 so you loose in that aspect IMO

Think the gearing was the same other than a p1 had the longer 5th gear for our motorway speeds so as you say unless you want to mess about with the dccd then I think you have made the right choice
