Question How do I work out my power to weight ratio ?

Yeah.. How do I work out my power to weight ratio ?


I've got a lardy hatch 08 Sti with 365/ 430.


So what's my power to weight ratio PLEASE ?

BHP/ car weight in tonnes e.g. my car 450 bhp, weighs 1293kg without me in it = 450/1.293 = 348 bhp per tonne

Weight without Driver (KG) : 1505
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 246.42
0 - 60 (Secs) : 4.18
0 - 100 (Secs) : 10.55
60 - 100 (Secs) : 6.37
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.82
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 110.20
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.42
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 113.82

Thanks Martyn...

Being one of 'your cars' thats a nice power to weight ratio.

Now with a nice SC46 plus bits it would take it up another level... hopefully later this year


BUT I may be changing job and relocating v shortly and might have to sell my pride and joy dont know anything for sure at the mo'


With £7k spent at Enginetuner this year, plus £1k at Powerstation for suspension mods, and another £1k recently for new tyres and refurbed BBS wheels...

What do you think I should be asking for it 'realistically' ?

Best offer over £20k ?

BTW its an Euro Import in Spark silver with the lovely Recaro's, factory rear tints, BBS forged alloys (£650 a corner retail), all the right bits PLUS forged Enginetuner rebuild 4k miles ago, ported and polished heads, RCM headers, Harvey uppipe, etc etc.
