Default Refurbing Intercooler Pipes

I'm going to be refurbing the intercooler pipes for my front mount over the winter and wondered if any of you guys had tackled it and what stuff you used?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Just want to rub them down then paint them again in a wrinkle finish maybe? Don't really like the chrome pipes and they're pretty corroded as it is anyway.

have you thought about powder coat? it will be harder wearing than paint. and will prob work about the same price.

if you paint them, you will need to use a etch primer first, then the top coat of wrinkle plus.

Good shout. Will prob be putting the wheels in to get done again soon so might see if they'll do me a deal on the pipes too.

Cheers.

Did you use an etch primer with that or just spray it straight on

We get them powder coated with a very hard wearing wrinkle finish.
Example.

Sprayed it straight on after a little wet & dry. Perfect finish & never came off.

Liking that. Could most Powder Coating places do that for you? Or would it be something I could get done through yourselves?

Cheers

Sounds good, I have some red in the garage to do my inlet, might see how much of a contrast it will be with the blue hoses
