Default Urgent help / advise needed

Just in the process of fitting a ninja sports cat to my bug as i type this

does anyone know if you need to modify the heat shield that covers the turbo ? as its doesnt seem to want to go back on

Yep you do, needs a bit of cutting to get it to fit the new downpipe

all done , what a bloody nightmare, ave had to cut a fair bit from the heat shield

does anyone know if you can buy a aftermarket heat shield that fits straight on ?

only wondered as i cant see the old shield doing what it should do now its been butchered

You only need to cut the back section mate. It should be fine, if it still plays on your mind, i'd suggest that you heat wrap the downpipe to reduce under bonnet temps
