Nissan GTR or C63 AMG
Hello Hello
Ok I know that choices in cars all subjective and down to personal tastes but I am appalling bad at making decisions and procrastinate over them for ages no matter what the choice is (choosing between tea and coffee can take a whole afternoon)
So I think I need a new car as currently I am driving my Litchfield Type 25 (cosworth) to worka dn back every day and it isnt really the best car to turn up at clients premesis as it makes me look like a right chav
I have narrowed down my choice (this took me a month) to:
Trading in my scoob and buying a Nissan GTR
OR
Leasing a C63 AMG and proably keeping my scoob at least for another year. (though the other half may make me get rid of it due to lack of space)
On my calculations both cars would cost a similar amount of money over 3 years excluding servicing, tyres etc
Both have pro's and cons financially, the AMG would be less money up front and allow me to keep more available money for other things ie house deposit next year.
The GTR would mean tying up all the money I have in the type25 for a longer period of time.
I do not really have a need for back seats and I would love to get the GTR as it is an awesome car but so is the AMG and im sure i would be very happy with one but dunno if I would regret not getting the GTR every time I saw one.
So opinions please thank you very much

I'd definately go AMG if you dont want to come across as a bit of a boy racer in the eyes of your clients, besides the AMG sounds so much nicer and is blisteringly quick aswell.I'd love one of them one day in estate form

I considered other marques trout but narrowed it down to these two that I liked the most.
I know that the AMG is the sensible and most practicle choice, I just keep thinking of that GTR!

my neighbour (lucky barst**d) has just traded in his 63 AMG for a GTR premium edition. he is happier in every way with the GTR. he says there is slightly less power in the GTR but it is still way ahead of the Merc. also he reckons the fuel consumption is better, although i suppose it would be at first while being learning the new characteristics! yes, the AMG is more "businessman" but the GTR still holds its own with the interior. for me, value for money is sooooo important! it would be the GTR every time.

GTR for me if money was not an issue but as said above I've heard they are expensive to keep on the road.
For a work car then the AMG if you cannot be bothered to swap with your partner, saying that though can you not swap with him now if needed and keep the T25 and with the saved cash get a real toy, not sure what but may open your choices up.

AMG Practicality get m8s in back,
GTR for sheer power, But if your like me and a consultant/Manager then id say AMG for looks taking clients for Lunch and general horsework.
GTRs are awsome but for working with People and Milege id go Merc

GTR for me but that's from the heart not the head. Saying that if I bought from the head I would have a 1.6 focus and not a prodrive sti lol... Ur lucky to have the choice of such amazing cars... Good luck and whatever u get make sure u enjoy it

AMG .. Classy , but sounds like the Gods of Thunder having a fight when opened up! Makes me go weak at the knees!
There's a GTR going about my way, yes it's an amazing car and looks great, and gets respect , but sounds awful at everyday speeds (low 30mph speeds anyway )( imo )
Altho as said above RS4 is what I long for if and always will until I win the lottery!

Lot of love for the RS4 on here i see. I considered one and they can be picked up for a reasonable price now its been a couple of years since they stopped making them.
I still dont know what to get, most people on here are giving preference to the AMG and i know its the more sensible choice though its not exactly a sensible car lol
I know all my mates love the GTR and i guess there is a part of me that wants to impress them.....bit naive eh
