Default Standard spoiler

Would anyone be interested in a swap for my high level Sti spoiler in exchange for a small standard one. If it's in crystal grey as well that would be great. Cheers, leon

I have an OEM WRX spoiler in red if you're interested, you'll have to get your boot lid filled and painted anyway if you're swapping spoilers over.

Why would it need filling and painting? Is it not just a straight swap?

Sti bootlid has four holes drilled through for the big spoiler. Wrx spoiler only has two threads which will fit through your existing holes at either end but leave the two extra holes visible in the centre of bootlid.

i've got a wrx spoiler to swap if you want.

I'm not sure if my car is crystal grey or silver?

there's a pic of my car on my profile if you wanted to see if it matched?

Anyone know if the paint code stamped on the car anywhere?

Yep you can put an Sti spoiler on to a wrx boot and just use the two holes with the end thread/screws removing the other two in the middle. I've tried this and it was perfectly secure. The Sti bootlid will have the other holes though. Easiest thing for the OP might be to swap the whole bootlid and spoiler with someone with a wrx in the same colour. Not sure if the lock is easy to remove and change though.

Leonski...........you do know that if you bought a genuine High OEM STi one from a Subaru dealer the list price is about £895 painted LOL

You might want to sell your spoiler and buy another

You might want to switch the springs for the boot lid with the WRX owner too, the ones in the STI's are a lot stronger as the spoiler is heavier.

2nd that. Good advice there, if you keep the sti springs on it and flick the boot switch from the car your likely to end up with the lid through the rear window

Mines a wrx but someone has put a high level spoiler on it previously. I'm not sure if it's a genuine sti one or not but I doubt it as it's quite heavy meaning you have to be really careful closing the boot. I've allways liked the look of it but now fancy being a bit more discreet.

Post a couple of pics of it.......the OEM high wing is heavy and requires additional torsion bars LOL

Oh right maybe it is genuine then lol. How could I tell? I excepted a genuine one to be lightweight like the one my classic had.

If the car is a wrx have a look and the spoiler may be attached only using the two holes either side in which case you've got no probs.

I'll have a look under the boot today and see if there's 2 holes or 4.

I've had a look from inside the boot and there's 2 bolts on each end of the spoiler about 4" apart. I'm pretty sure there's none in the middle of the boot. Does that mean I can just bolt a wrx spoiler on with no filling or is there literally only 2 bolts on the whole spoiler ie. 1 on each end?

yes, seems like someone has put a sti one one in place of a previous wrx one.
