yeah im still harping on about what exhaust to get ,heres what im after

something pretty cheap?

not too loud ,at least not annoying when just cruising along?(is this possible with full decat )?

should i just go cat back if not wanting too much noise ?

what are scorpion systems like ?

i was looking at the cheap jap ones on ebay but am a bit put off by people saying they are a crap fit ?

if you want cheap, get a used prodrive decat pipe, used prodrive backbox and a new de resonated centre section, should get them all for less than £250 and have a good sounding full stainless exhaust, Thats what I started with on my wrx and was pleased with it, and the prodrive box is good quality.

what car have you got? i will be changing my prodrive back box and resonated centre section on monday...they will be up for offers...assuming i get the centre section in the car!

sure someone will follow on and say if it will fit or not...mine is an sti 2005. prodrive backbox sounds ok, deeper than standard but not enough db's for me. the centre section on an sti doesnt have a cat, just a small silencer section. think i have read that the wrx has a cat in its place.

Backbox will fit, i would go for a de-resonated centre though.

the sti centre section is same as yours, but if you get the backbox, then a 2nd cat delete pipe from a prodrive pack, then you can just buy a new centre section from haywwod and scott or scoobyworld, it will leave youre standard downpipe with the main cat so you will have no issues. Don't fit a decat downpipe unless you are planning a remap, but if you do then you can add a decat downpipe and uppipe at a later date. But the standard cat will after a remap flow enough for about 265bhp same as ppp pack, although a panel filter and intercooler hose will be required as well.

i am planning a remap but not immediately ,duncan from racedynamix said this would be ok with full decat and would just bring engine check light on

there was a prodrive backbox and decat exhaust in for sale section at a good price, worth having a look see if still there, you could still fit exhaust then just add decat pipe just before mapping, but at least you will have all the stuff ready, I am going to be using racedynamix soon to get a uk fuel map on my car, hopefully within a month if I can arrange it, fitting my exhaust weekend so can't wait.
