Importing from Japan
#1
If anybody would like me to act as an agent to import a car for them I can get almost any vehicle for less than you would have to pay at most garages. I will take care of the SVA and get the car registered but would prefer to stay clear of cars newer than 1997 (unless brand new) because they have a stricter SVA to go through.
I have already posted a similar message but it is under the cars for sale section as I am trying to sell my own Skyline at the moment.

and as an agent what do you do?
Are you registered with Customs and excise?
As an agent I guess you charge a fee, what is it? How can you prove the cost of the car and associated costs, so to prove your fee is true?
Are you simply using an agent in Japan and adding a few hundred on for yourself?
As an agent do you expect the customer to pay you before or after the vehicle is in the UK. If before and your not a business how do we know you won't run off with the money.
How do you source your cars in japan?
I'm guessing the moderators will edit this thread pretty soon..........
