Angry Ripped off by scoobynet user!!!!!

Hey evryone!!!

Right well last wednesday i paid £120 for some fuel rails and braided pipes off user - WorkInProgress, on which i did point out that if they couldnt be sent out immediatly they were no good to me (my engine being put back together at the weekend).
Anyway Thursday we spoke and he said he had in fact sent them out Weds night, but no parcel???????
Friday - Again No parcel??????????
Saturday - no parcel!!
Today - AGAIN no parcel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So i can only assume a certain Mr Mazar Lal has been a complete worm and ripped me off!!!!

Just out of curiosity i dont suppose anyone happens to know this user by any chance??? i guess im kinda hoping out that theres been a misunderstanding somewhere along the lines????LOL - Yeh Right!!!!

Did you pay for it tracked and traceable?

Post goes missing all the time, I have shipped parcels in the same post and had parcels arrive in Australia before parcels being sent 90 miles away, Work that out!

Give the guy a break and when it arrives check the postage label and see when it was shipped, then you can let rip!

Have you contacted him? Maybe Royal Mail / courier are at fault. Might be worth finding this out before you start naming and shaming....Others have done the same as you to only end up looking daft.
If once you've done your groundwork it transpires you have been ripped off, by all means name and shame.
Either way best of luck and I hope its resolved asap

i know its very easy to come to the concludion that you`ve been ripped off . i waited just over a week for a parcel to come from birmingham and the fellow s.net seller posted another parcel at the same time as mine and that arrived in the netherlands 3 days later after being posted, and mine took 7 days. hang in there am sure it wil turn up soon. i could understand if the guy was blanking you, but he aint. we all know what the royal mail n delivery companys are like at the best of times. when you finaly do get your parcel i think you owe the seller a big appology

WOW!!!! I honestly didnt mean to offend anyone with my post guys!!

I have contcted WorkInProgress on more than 1 occasion since yes, but i was under the impression when things are sent out recorded/special delivery that they cant be lost in the same way as the normal post i guess???
And Yes it has only been 3 days i realise that, and maybe i dint make myself clear in the initial post - but the user has logged in to scoobynet AFTER i have sent him a few messages(and an email!!) to find out what was going on and wheter he had a tracking number for the parcels etc??? Just no reply!!???? So in my defense, the man has been blanking me since Thursday!!

Im not the sort of person to try and give Anyone a bad name over nothing guys, and i resent the insinuation that i am or that i would! Maybe i did jump the gun abit, maybe i didnt... guess i will just have to wait and see then right????!

If the seller is incommunicado yet has been on SNet in the meantime then I'd worry too ...

TX.

PS

The seller has 138 posts & is not a paying member

If it was just that the thing hadnt turned up then fair enough, and yes i stand corrected about parcels not going missing etc when sent recorded/special delivery!

But i guess its just the non communication thats made me skeptical???????

Worse thing about it is because he said he would get it to me straightaway the following day - i even OFFERED to send the payment as a gift as just to be nice to the fella!!!!he he.... wont be doing that again in a hurry!!!!

Anyway... lesson learnt i guess!!ha

Book the courier for collection the next time.

That way you get a collection address and a landline number that you can check out before paying.

Dont understand why folk dont do deals like this anyway? Doesnt cost anything extra. Simples.

I've had a few buyers organise their own pick up. It saves me time booking it myself.

If he's logged on since and not replied then I'd say that was good grounds for concern.

I've just run a group buy for engine bay bolt kits over on P1WOC, had all the individual tracking numbers and sent them out to each member via pm. Even though it was out of my hands (members could track progress online) I was still mortified when a bloke over in Switzerland received his package before someone in Surrey!

Even still, I made sure I checked the tracking numbers frequently and made sure I was available to answer members pm's about what was happening. I guess this guy is just the opposite.....

Thats the reason why I dont send money across as a gift on paypal, If they ask I just send it as normal.

Only time I nerly got stung, was when I sent a gift payment through paypal for a decat downpipe a couple of years ago, took the seller nearly a month to send it. Now ive learned my lesson never to send as a gift.

NO.2 here

I put up a wanted post for a set of V2 sti injectors and ECU he replied and said he wanted £100 and i managed to talk him down to £80.
I payed on the condition he would send the stuff out Thu as i need the ECU and injectors to get my car mot'd. Phoned my mate today and still nothing has arrived. He may just be a bit slow but that means i have had to buy the same again from somebody else. Im guessing the stuff will turn up but we will see. I also used Paypal gift grrrrr
