Be very afraid of the following combination :-

1. Black STI7

2. Driver : a Mr M.Wood, apparently employed by Prodrive.

3. Hairpin bend, location Prodrive Banbury.

Dave,

I think this is what Russell was trying to convey

I don't he was trying hard enough. He still something resebling tread left at the end of the day. Shoddy workmanship I call it. Pete Jackson however, is a man who really knows how to **** a tyre

I was really impressed with Mikes driving and a nice chap aswell The only dissapionting thing was the Mike kept sitting in the wrong side and wouldn't let go of that wheel LOL
Oh and the slightly quick Sti7 PPP is a must can't wait saving pennies up. Even (might) put up with the Std Xhorst till PPP arrives its tooooooo quiet (only B/Box due to Dave's thread on spiking)

Running downpipe back system on mine now, and it's fine boost wise. It's only either the up pipe or downpipe or worst the combination of both that causes the spiking, so it's ok to change the centre as well and get rid of a cat and the resonator box.

Dave,
Been reading THAT post with some interest some of it went way over my head DON'T touch the up pipe
I was and liked the Magnex 6x4 but the WRX system one doesn't fit the STi7 hits the gearbox apparently But there again best to see what comes with PPP. it's GOT to include some Xorst bits
I like the sound not the performance LOL

Josh,
I am no hooligan the tyres must of been going off that's why the P1 was skippng around the corner before the pits. Dale kept telling me to go faster D LOL

It's a Prodrive Performance Pack, which I believe is the only offically sanctioned way to modify your car, and usually comprises an ECU and exhaust modification, together with a few other bits.

Baby blue,
No problems M8 PPP stands for Prodrive Performance Pack
The pack may consist of a new ECU maybe something for the Induction and exhaust bits Might take the STi7 from 261 Bhp to 305-310 Bhp but more importantly loads more torque ( No offical fiqures just estimating ). And better feul economy into the bargain but still in devolpement. IMHO

Hmm better fuel economy eh. Even more reason to get the PPP. Might even pay for itself after a few weeks or so (at the rate my STi seems to be drinking fuel anyway ).

Iain.

was there any change on the diffs or is everything standard except the wheels and ppp.

My Evo 7RS does the same on throttle (don t need the handbrake either)

I would love to see a movie of this slide

this fun
this is the way how you need to drive these kind of cars

I think you'll find that, as with most good drivers, Mike doesn't use the handbrake to do these things. It's all about steering and throttle.

It wasn't raining Dave, but it was rather foggy.

Or was that tyre smoke ??!!

ps

No handbrakes were used during this manoeuvre. Do not try to copy this stunt at home.
