Impreza Sport Handling or not advice needed
The missues has recently purchased a 2002 gx sport but is quiet alarmed at the handling, around town the other day she turned into a right hand road in the wet and the rear end slid out granted theres a bit of a mix of tyres on at the moment though there all legal.
coming from a front wheel drive vectra which you could throw in harder than this, is this normal, should an awd be driven that differently to the fwd ?

something amiss I'd say..
Either cheap/old/overworn tyres on the back or a 4 wheel alignment check needed.
The sport (and most of the turbo's) will always under-steer like a FWD car when pushed, with over steer only created with a vigorous "lift off" technique. (again, like a FWD car)

Hi there
Could have been a greasy patch of road could be poor tyres could be a combination.
4wd does not make it invincible in the wet and i agree wholeheartedly with the comments above about oversteer above.
