Default Car Wash/Shampoo

Hi All,
Just wondering what car wash products you use,i have been very happy with mer car wash, leaves a decent shine on the old scoob, today i tried maguires gold class shampoo and conditioner, not so sure if its as good as the mer, doesnt quite have that gleem to it,a little flat to be honest.
What do u guys use and what do you give the thumbs down to?

been using this stuff
maxi sudds 11 fromchemical guys
it is ace at shifting dirt off my van that gets absolutely rotten and after using it for a couple of years i see no signs of paint fade which can be a problem with harsh car washes. I dont use it on my car much as if you saw what it does to you hands if you use it regularly i get the impression it is to harsh for such thin paint so i use the glossworks stuff from the same company that brings on the shine a treat

My personal favourite is R222 Bodywork Conditioning Shampoo (used to be P21S and has since been renamed to R222).
Give the car a good going over with the lance and Built Hamber Autowash, then a nice hand wash with the R222.

Another vote for the Dodo juice range, I use there Sour power which Contains carnauba wax for extra gloss, they have a choice of three I think so you should be able to get what your looking for.

it is almost abrasive and takes the shine from your paint if you use it regular. Have you ever wondered how some cars look completely flat and devoid of any gloss? fairy liquid is the answer. it is a great degreaser though

I have to laugh but he's right in a way, I've got ****loads of maguirs zymol etc and on the days I can't be arced I use turtle wax shampoo and the wax it wet stuff and in all honesty the difference other than bumps n bits , the shine isn't worth the 3 hours I spend doing it, if I lived in Florida then maybe but 2 days after I've done it it's filthy again so I've given up

So my advice if you semi proud and use ya car daily as a work horse like me

Turtle wax nano and wax it wet

Chemical guys gets my vote
The blue glossworks is even better then the previos yellow one £9 a bottle and only one capful does both cars once a week and lasts me 10 months
People who see my cars ask me if I wax them every week

once you get into it and buy quality stuff instead of off the shelf numbers you get to appreciate a shiney car. The difference i have noticed is when you wash the car again it looks like you just waxed it again as with the meguiars stuff it washes off with the shampoo. That is not to say it is all shat as if you apply their professional range with a orbital polisher it lasts just like the chemical guys stuff. it is horses for courses really and the reason i purchased the stuff is i hate cleaning the scooby as it is too many nooks and crannises to keep it 100 % clean all the time. But it only needs a wash once a fortnight and it gleams better than new every time and once or twice a year i touch it up with the glaze or xxx wax. depending on how much time i have on my hands

I hope you don't use this all the time and make sure you put a coat of wax on top after you're done.
